The struggle

For the first time in history a new type of struggle is emerging. This struggle is between parents and corporations. It is a struggle for the minds, bodies, time and space of millions of children and the kind of world they are growing up in.Every year parents lose more and more influence over their children. Companies with something to sell have taken over this sphere of influence. They are driven by the possibility of billions of dollars of profits and fearful the competition will get ahead of them. They have devised slicker and more extreme methods to deliver their products. They will do anything to get your attention. They have already extended the range of violence, sex, addiction and cheap sensuality to attract your eyes and your mind. They will eventually get the few dollars you have saved, either directly or with the plastic card they have given you.
