Modern medicine has become very successful at rescuing mothers and babies when something goes terribly wrong at delivery time. Surprisingly, this actually has caused a problem. The problem is that, for every delivery, things are "set up" just in case a serious problem occurs. This tends to create a sense of fear. This is not the best feeling for a mother to have when she is about to deliver her baby.
